    Inventory Controller (Spare Parts)

    Job Description

    • Be the interface between supplier sand other relevant departments
    • Purchase goods, materials, components or services in line with specified quality, costs and lead times
    • Track and trace open purchase orders and outstanding quotations
    • Contact suppliers to resolve price, quality, delivery or invoice issues
    • Update the procurement management systems and proactively escalate system update issues
    • Drive continuous cost saving initiative through alternate sourcing and strong negotiations
    • Assess and evaluate suppliers and contribute to performance reviews
    • Build, maintain and manage supplier relationships
    • Prepare reports and updates as and when required
    • Comply with Safety, Health and Environment standards

    Qualifications & Experience

    Safety Manager - Modderfontein

    Job Description

    • Contribute to the Mining ZERO Harm Strategy.
    • Define the safety governance and assurance priorities and metrics.
    • Ensure compliance to all applicable legal and corporate requirements, e.g. OHS Act, Explosives Act, Company Standards and safety management system ISO 45000.
    • Develop and manage a comprehensive document management system and repository for all safety related data, reports, statistics, etc.

    Qualifications & Experience

    • A Bachelor’s Degree in Safety Management or equivalent.
    • A Management Diploma.
    • Minimum 7 - 10 years' experience in safety management and auditing (preferably in explosives manufacturing).
    • Advantageous to have an explosives manufacturing background.
    • Ability to collate, consolidate and manage numerous sets of data.
    • Knowledge of the Occupational Health and Safety Act and any other related safety, health and environment legislation and systems.

    Field Engineer-Mechanical - Modderfontein

    Job Description

    • Provide the set services for MMUs, MCUs, PCUs, Plants, Emulsion Vertical Delivery Systems and equipment with similar complexity under general supervision of a Global Equipment Services Contracts Engineer.
    • Provide costing in conjunction with Sourcing and Procurement resources.
    • Develop and track project budget.
    • Design work. Translate User Requirements Specifications into Functional Specifications. Update existing concept designs. Provide detailed design inputs for pump systems, valves, hydraulic circuits and equipment specifications (design excludes pressure systems and structural integrity).
    • Interpret, update and develop drawings, technical manuals and specifications.
    • Provide Subject Matter Expert inputs in design reviews, risk assessments and Hazard studies.
    • Manage service providers, external engineers, and contractors to develop, repair or upgrade equipment.
    • Perform pre-commissioning and commissioning of equipment and issuing of commissioning reports.
    • Identify opportunities to incorporate best practices from external contractors.
    • Perform function on both surface and underground mines.

    Qualifications & Experience

    • Mechanical B Tech or BSc Engineer
    • Project management certificate will be an advantage.
    • 2 – 5 years related experience will be an advantage
    • Competent in the use of Microsoft Project
    • Conversant in application of Engineering Design principles
    • Comfortable in initiating and running projects with requirements of significant capital expenditure (typical individual project value R2m-R5m, typically 10-20 projects per year)
    • Presentation skills

    Group Indirect Tax Manager

    Job Description

    • In-depth knowledge of Value-Added Tax Act and Tax Administration
    • Interpret facts and apply legislation, case law, interpretation Notes, Rulings,etc.
    • Advise on VAT effects of complex transactions across the various jurisdictions that AECI operates
    • Prepare clear, sound, accurate reports and opinions containing findings, conclusions, and recommendations.
    • A good understanding of related tax legislation that impacts VAT such as Income Tax Act and Customs and Excise Act
    • Manage a range of VAT & Customs assignments

    Accountant:

    Job Description

    • Perform month end transactional activities e.g., review of adjustments, month end closing procedures and recon preparation etc.
    • Provide first level support in terms of call and query handling across AEL
    • Perform selected bank reconciliations
    • Review, approve and post predefined manual journal entries and supporting documentation and narration to journal (ensure journal entries are valid, accurate and complete)
    • Reconcile balance sheet accounts and follow up on long outstanding items

    Tax Manager

    Job Description

    • Responsible for all tax-reporting and accounting-related aspects, ensuring compliance with AECI Group requirements on tax.
    • Plans and monitors tax reporting and compliance activities to ensure adherence to South Africa regulatory requirements.
    • Ensures compliance with all tax laws and regulations, liaises with tax authorities and consultants on tax-related matters, supports proper reporting for applicable taxes under IFRS, and optimizes responsible tax planning.
    • Monitor the submission of returns, ensuring that they are submitted timeously.
    • Keeps abreast and advise stakeholders on the impact of tax developments across all taxes and ensures that necessary changes in systems are implemented.
    • Supports finance and other business areas with information and advice regarding all tax matters, redirecting or escalating requests.
    • Manages tax audits and queries, payments, and periodical statutory filings.
    • Coordinate tax reviews with internal and external auditors.

    Qualifications & Experience

    • Matric / Grade 12.
    • BCom (Accounting), BCom (Tax or Accounting Honors), or CA/(SA)
    • Relevant postgraduate qualification in Tax.
    • A Mcom in Taxation will be advantageous.
    • Minimum 5 - 8 years of Tax experience.
    • Previous experience dealing with the following is essential.
    • Tax treaty interpretations.
    • Preparation of tax computations and tax returns.
    • Previous working experience in the international market would be advantageous.
