    Software Quality Assurance - Manual Tester - Cape Town

    Minimum Requirements

    • NQF 6 - Bachelor Degree in Computer Science, Engineering or relevant National Diploma or relevant College qualification

    With preferably one of the following certifications:

    • ISTQB Foundation certificate
    • ISTQB Advance certificate
    • Test Manager certificate
    • Greater than 36 months experience in manual testing
    • Excellent understanding of the Test Management Lifecycle (TMLC) as a subset of the Software Development Lifecycle (SDLC)
    • Test requirements analysis
    • Test effort estimation
    • Recording of test plans, which includes the creation of test scenarios and test cases to meet the exception criteria using Azure/DevOps/TFS
    • Test environment preparation
    • Test execution using Azure/DevOps/TFS
    • Defect logging using Azure/DevOps/TFS
    • Test closure/reporting using Azure/DevOps/TFS
    • Ability to write and/or maintain test automation script using Python (Minimum foundational fundamentals understanding/competency with > 24 months experience) (Optional)
    • Experience in the use of Selenium to automate web browser interaction. Must be able to configure Selenium using Python, install Selenium libraries in Python, download and install PyCharm, create a new project and write the Selenium test script, and run and validate the test scripts.     Analyse

    Design

    • Create test design task
    • Design test plan (new) or amend existing test plan for existing features and/or defects
    • Review test plan
    • Provide thought leadership regarding test designs

    Develop

    • Created test tasks.
    • Size test task with a level-3 estimation.
    • Review sizing of test tasks.
    • Update test tasks daily.
    • Be a test Subject Matter Expert (SME)
    • Mentor a colleague (be a "Buddy") in testing

    Test

    • Perform test plan reviews
    • Execute tests (manual and/or automated) against test plan
    • Review test output and record defects, if needed
    • Be accountable for testing delivery

    Deploy

    • Obtain test sign-off from business analyst

    Qualification

    Experience

    Knowledge

    Duties & Responsibilities

    Provides Administrative Support to Marketing and Branding team leads and manages certain administrative functions for the department

    • Manage the timeous bookings, administration and payments for events, sponsorships, conferences and advertisements initiated by our department
    • Assist the clothing and promotional items administrator by taking photos and cropping them for use on the e-Store website
    • Assist staff with the conversion and application of the Pragma stylesheet to Word documents
    • Monitor the Marketing Inbox and respond to web inquiries. Create sales leads in Acumatica and assign them to the relevant business developers. Distribute other general enquiries to relevant stakeholders
    • Responsible for taking staff profile photos 

    Coordinate and execute Internal Communications

    • Collect company and staff information / news 2 weekly and prepare it for distribution on the internal communication platforms, such as the JunXion, internal screens and email communication
    • Assist internal stakeholders with the design and distribution of internal communication messages on request
    • Manage the internal communication calendar and schedule the Friday Communication sessions
    • Download recordings and publish it on the JunXion and send out post event communication
    • Monitor the Communications Inbox for ad hoc requests or inquiries 

    Assist with the planning and production of suitable content and the timely execution of the Content Plan

    • Develop planned content a month in advance and get it signed off by the relevant stakeholders and the language editor before publishing it
    • Research and harvest applicable external content to repurpose for Pragma thought leadership messaging on Pragma's online channels on a monthly basis
    • Assist with the planning, production, promotion and hosting of webinars
    • Compile video snips and content to promote the video recordings post-event 

    Maintain and update online marketing and social media platforms, engage with communities, compile reports and make recommendations on improvements

    • Assist the Marketing Lead in updating the websites with relevant content. Ensure that home pages are updated with the latest news, case studies, and relevant content
    • Manage social media posts in line with pre-planned and approved conversation plans and alert relevant thought leaders to respond on comments when required
    • Ensure that scheduled content is placed on the social media platforms by 10:00 in the mornings
    • Distribute approved articles to paid platforms such as Engineering News and Mining Weekly and ensure that they link back to the relevant websites
    • Prepare the monthly online report tracking user engagement and conversions on the pragmaworld.net; martec.co.za, onkey.com; LinkedIn, YouTube and Facebook 

    Assist with the development and management of marketing and brand material

    • Produce videos on request. This includes planning the storyboard, taking and editing footage and applying the correct brand style to the video when requested
    • Assist the Marketing Manager and internal departments with the development of signage, icons and other brand collateral and save it in the correct spaces
    • Manage the marketing collateral register by doing an annual audit on the items and update it when new items are added
    • Manage the quarterly servicing of the Pragma flags at the Midrand office
    • Manage ad hoc requests for the ordering and distribution and payment of business cards and name badges

    Assist the Marketing Lead with the development and execution of online and physical events

    • Assist BU leads and SMEs with the planning, production, promotion and hosting of online events such as client days or long service awards
    • Assist the Marketing Lead and the BU leads with the planning, production, promotion and hosting of events for internal and external stakeholders
