    Data Analyst

    Job description

    Key Responsibilities

    • Responsible for execution of universe estimation/sample design methodologies/data simulation/panel updates and ensuring delivery on time and per specification
    • Planning & rolling out new or enhanced services & ensuring the sustainability thereof.
    • Delivering analysis to support implementation of standards and best practices
    • Working with Global Design and Delivery Centre to ensure accurate methodologies & practices within the organization
    • Consulting with internal clients and providing expert technical consultation to solve complex data science related issues
    • Interacting with Nielsen SMEs on new methodology implementation to enhance the quality of Nielsen statistical services
    • Ensures self-sustenance on Knowledge Management and trains associates in the team
    • As needed, executes and enables execution of universe estimation and sample design methodologies for the sub-region/multiple countries and ensure delivery on time and per spec.
    • Develop and apply technology skills to improve business processes through automation and programming tools

    Job Requirements

    • Work experience in the survey research industry with hands on experience in developing and executing survey research methodologies will be highly preferable
    • Bachelor's degree in Statistics, Mathematics, Operations Research, Econometrics, Engineering or Computer Science with outstanding analytical expertise and strong technical leadership
    • Proficient in R, Python, TIBCO Spotfire, Hadoop, Spark, Julia or other statistical packages
    • Knowledge in computer science, programming and digital knowledge is preferred
    • Ability to use statistical methodologies to analyze the data
    • Experience in working with algorithms, and large-scale databases, statistical modelling, variance estimation, trend analyses, indirect estimation, data aggregation techniques, automation, and generalization
    • Demonstrated experience in survey research methodologies, data collection, platforms, research processes and operations
    • Experience working in a computing environment with large datasets and the ability to integrate across datasets will be advantage
    • Ability to autonomously manage simultaneous projects in a fast paced business environment
    • Strong ability to communicate complex ideas in a simple way
    • Accuracy and attention to detail
