Key Responsibilities

• Preparation and analysis of monthly and annual management accounts & reporting
• Monthly preparation & review of journals, maintain fixed asset register
• Performing all month end GL recons to management accounts
• Reviewing & preparation of monthly creditors recons, ensuring all payments are made to suppliers within stipulated payment terms and discrepancies are resolved
• Handling of all banking transactions via internet banking
• Reviewing debtors age analysis monthly, ensuring all outstanding debt is collected timeously and investigate any discrepancies
• Preparation of weekly & monthly cashflow forecasts
• Completing & Submitting VAT201’s, EMP201’s, EMP501’s to SARS
• Calculating of provisional tax payments & income tax payments & submitting IRP6 & IT14 to SARS
• Getting the trial balance to final state for Financial Statement audit and attending to the company audit with external auditors
• Overseeing payroll function that is outsourced
• Maintain inventory and investigate and correct any discrepancies
• Reconciling Intercompany transaction & balances as well as reporting thereof
• Ensure all finance policies and procedures are adhered to and improving & implementing internal control
• Ensure that all transactions are accounted for in most tax efficient way – especially VAT and complying with all tax laws and regulations

Minimum requirements

• Recently qualified CA (SA)
• Xero accounting software experience will be to an advantage
