    Branch Manager

    Job description

    We are looking for an experienced, reliable, motivated and hands on Branch Manager to join the team at our Cape Town branch. The ideal candidate will have experience in the clothing industry and will assume responsibility for the day-to-day running and managing of the branch, its business and employees, as well as meeting the growth expectations for the branch in the short and long term.

    Key Responsibilities

    The successful candidates key responsibilities will include, but not be limited to

    • Administration
      • Ensure that all administration is kept up to date.
      • Oversee quarterly stock takes, investigate variances and minimise stock losses.
      • Regularly monitor excess and slow moving stock and develop plans to minimise.
      • Ensure that merchandising of displays is properly done.
      • Address and resolve any local operational problems experienced.
    • Marketing and Sales
      • Drive sales team to achieve and exceed targets. Ensure that the growth expectations for the branch in the short and long term are met and or exceeded.
      • Build and inspire the sales team to engage customers and deliver great results.
      • Make sure the branch exceeds customers expectations every time.
    • Managerial Duties
      • Ensure all branch operations are performed in accordance with established company policies and procedures, enforce the implementation of these.
      • Manage branch employees in line with the company policies and procedures.
      • Efficiently deal with people management issues, as and when they arise.
      • Control all HR issues at the branch.

    Skills

    • Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines.
    • Target driven.
    • A track record in leading a team and selling anything
    • Results driven and customer focussed.
    • Strong communication, problem solving and decision making skills.
    • Excellent interpersonal and customer service skills.
    • Meticulous attention to detail.
    • Must be able to work independently.
    • Drivers license and own transport a must.
    • Understanding of principle of sound business practice.

    Requirements

    • Grade 12
    • Diploma/Degree preferable
    • Minimum of 5 years experience in the clothing/textile industry
    • Minimum of 5 years of proven experience managing Branch operations.
    • Excellent verbal and written communication skills and good command of English and Afrikaans.
    • Excellent computer skills and stock control.
    • Leadership skills and the ability to managing and control a staff of approximately 15 - 20 people.
