    Product Manager - MAC

    Job description

    Job requirements

    • Implement and effectively monitor stock in all aspects of the business within the full M.A.C line-up, by category for New Products, Limited Life and Kits.
    • Manage the planning and implementation of Retail Events and Technique Classes at store level.
    • Assist the Marketing Manager in formulating the marketing calendar, from a products perspective and promotional programmes.
    • Prepare and present product information at Brand Conferences, Retailer Strategy meetings to ensure 100% execution.
    • Monitor stores nationally ensuring all product merchandising is to M.A.C standard
    • Review international bulletins and prepare launch strategy recommendations with respect to pricing, sales potential, promotional support, including collateral, sampling, testing, store literature and other in store tools.
    • Implement the New Product Launch plans as per the brand marketing plan.
    • Considers global Brand objectives and offerings, marketing guidelines, cost of goods/pricing objectives, manufacturing feasibility, and local market/competitive trends
    • Assists in determining discontinuations and price increase recommendations for existing products and pricing for new products.
    • Develops forecasts for products and promotional materials and shares with Marketing Manager.
    • Assists in the development of fiscal year budgets for all marketing programmes.
    • Review and analyse sell through of all products regularly, in conjunction with Marketing Manager, to ensure products are forecast correctly and optimum inventory levels are achieved. Monitor the sell through of all new products, using retailer sell through information on a monthly basis.
    • Review category obsolescence monthly together with Marketing Manager; recommend and implement action plans to reduce excess / obsolete inventory within budget levels.
    • Advise all departments and field teams of product category updates (new product launch shipping status, discontinuations, repackaging etc).
    • Works in conjunction with Inventory Controller to advise field staff on codes and barcode changes.
    • Ensure that Retail Events and Technique Classes follow the MAC global guidelines .
    • Identify and negotiate the best space and location for MAC within the event environment.
    • Maintain relationships with external suppliers and partners to ensure well executed events according to set MAC standards and ensure best prices for events.
    • Conduct regular store visits to ensure programs executed to plan.

    Education

    • B Com Marketing Degree or similar
    • At least 2 years’ experience in product management
    • MS Office with advanced Excel
    • Full, unrestricted driver’s license
