    Learning and Organisational Development Manager

    Job description

    The main purpose of this is to define and implement learning and development (L&D) and Organisation Development (OD) strategies, policies and plans which are aligned with organisation goals. Lead and Manage a team of Learning and Development Specialist in the development and delivery of learning solutions, change management and transformation programmes. Provides Line Managers & HRBP with expert advise in building a high performance culture, employee engagement, leadership development and all aspects of organisation change and development .

    Key Responsibilities:

    • L&D Strategy & Execution:
      • Leads the development & implementation of Market Learning & Development strategy, policy and plans aligned to business / functional priorities.
      • Drive implementation of such plans against agreed timeframes, budget and performance measures.
      • Lead the L&D team including specialists at factory level, manage the implementation of priorities by maximising the resources of the whole team and align with Rieve Reine (Vevey) / Zone including contracting external parties as required to deliver on agreed plans.
      • Is a recognised expert for all Learning and Development and Organisation Development initiatives in the market.
      • Lead and oversee the development & implementation of a culture of continuous L&D / Change management at Nestle aligned to the requirements of market skills and capability development plans.
      • Drive all Leadership development programmes including Reive Reine and is an expert performance consultant.
    • Organizational Development
      • Develop and facilitates the implementation of change management initiatives to support a high performance culture, organisational changes and performance improvement in line with Nestle values.
      • Responsible for two key BEE pillars i.e. Employment Equity and Skill Development.
      • Appointed as Market SDF / Employment Equity coordinator. Shapes the culture that facilitates and supports Nestlé’s goals & initiatives, ( through supporting & coaching
    • Line managers in their implementation of core people processes – e.g., five people practices, everyday Coaching, Nestle & I, 360° Development Tools, Leadership assessment centres).
    • Oversee Market L&D / OD Plan
      • Leads the development and implementation of market L&D / OD Plan and ensure all activities are organised and coordinated effectively. Guides the overall L&D / OD execution in the market by coaching and managing the performance of Learning and Development specialist, ensuring service standards are improved against defined measures.
      • Ensure that L&D specialist executes agreed interventions or programs that meet the goals and objectives of the unit or business.
      • Provides functional leadership to the L&D Team.
    • Performance Consultant:

     

    • Accelerate sustainable business performance by helping leaders and HRBP’s to source, align, develop and retain the talent needed to execute business plans.
    • Partner with HR leadership to identify and development management and leadership capabilities to drive performance.
    • Provide proactive advise in implementation of talent & performance cycle, talent calibration and succession planning in the market.
    • Benchmark the L&D function with industry best practices. Ensures tools available that assist HRBP to drive talent and performance in their units or businesses.
    • Skills Development:
      • Establish and Maintain effectives Skills Development strategy aligned to the Industry Sector Education and Learning Authority (SETA), scarcity of skills and business required.
      • Drive an effective operator development programme, team leadership and learning.
      • Work with the business to ensure employee personal and professional growth and that organization meets its stated objectives. Delivery of WSP, ATR and appointment of SDF.
    • Functional Development:
      • Work as part of cross functional / NiM CoE HR teams to develop major HR practice and process developments that contribute to enhancing the total HR contribution.
      • Member of the Corporate HR Leadership team and wears a corporate hat by understanding the broader strategic requirement with functional contribution.
      • Priorities projects that will show return on investment to the challenge.
      • NCE TPM LEAN: – Accountable for the Market Leadership Development Pillar of the NCE Foundation Modules.
      • Ensure the five people practices are embedded in organisation.
      • Provides support and leadership to the Market E&T pillar lead and ensure alignment across operations and shared services.

    Key Requirements

    • Extensive and deep expertise in Learning & Development, Organisation Development gained in large company / HR Function. Ten (10) years’ work experience or more in HR or related field
    • Management Experience in a large organisation, interacting with senior executives and dealing with complex Organisation issues
    • Proven experience in leading a large organisation change programme.
    • Expert in Change methodologies
    • Experienced in leadership development, instructional design and impact assessment of L&D initiatives
    • Experience in Broad Based Black Economic Empowerment requirements, verification processes and analysis
    • Min Honours Degree in related field, preferably Masters level
    • 10+ years’ experience in HR or related field
    • Minimum 5 years in managerial role
    • Experience of implementing change in organizations
    • Experience in dealing with levels of management
