Job Description

• As Leader of the regional service team in West and South Africa, you are responsible for managing and scheduling all regional service activities and service personnel to customer sites, as well as listing, following up and closing all customer issues for a region going from Sudan to South Africa. Responsibilities include also assisting service personnel, project engineers and customers with troubleshooting and solving technical problems; participating in processing service reports and calculating budget expenses. When required you are also expected to support the sales teams in the selling of service products by way of your technical knowledge and experience of those products.
• You will operate from our regional office in Johannesburg / SA, and you will report to the Customer Success Director located in our European headquarters in Dudelange / Luxembourg.

Responsibilities

• Lead, develop and manage the service technician team in South and East Africa (South Africa, Tanzania, Ethiopia, Angola)
• Keep customer aware and satisfied with resolution plan to open issues
• Proactively visit customers to build / maintain relationships
• Support the Sales Managers by gathering necessary information for sales proposals and presentations/outstanding issue update
• Work with other regions to coordinate approaches to common customers
• Process, gather and review all period service reports, and ensures that all information is available and supplied to sales and divisions

Qualifications

• Mechanical or electrical engineering degree or equivalent experience
• Technical and mechanical knowledge of injection molding systems and related products
• Several years of work experience gained in a similar environment/position
• Proven leadership skills
• Good organizational skills
• Excellent English communication skills
• Additional language skills in French or Portuguese would be considered an asset.
