    Contact Worker, Children's Contact Service

    Job description

    CHILDREN'S CONTACT SERVICE (Taree)

    Casual roles available
    Taree & Port Macquarie location
    Hourly rates (including loading) : $36.74ph (Mon-Sat) and $44.09ph (Sun) + 9.5% super

    We are currently seeking a dedicated and experienced Contact Worker to join our Children's Contact Service at Taree. The Children's Contact Service is a place for parents to engage in safe and friendly change-over and change-back in a relaxed, family environment. This position undertakes contact service duties with clients of both the Taree and Port Macquarie centres and will include regular weekend work (Fridays, Saturdays & Sundays).

    Key Requirements

    • Attainment of, or working towards relevant tertiary qualifications in behavioural or social science, social work or equivalent
    • Demonstrated experience working with families and children experiencing separation and family breakdown and high levels of family conflict
    • Demonstrated experience working in one or more areas of clinical work (e.g. counselling, dispute resolution, relationship education, children's services, men's programs, family law etc.)
    • Knowledge of child development, child protection and family violence issues
    • Demonstrated skills in managing high parental conflict whilst upholding the best interests of the children
    • Willing to be available to work on weekends and flexibility within working hours
