Producer in Film Production Industry at Groundglass

Job Description
Groundglass is looking for an International Producer with focus on the German Market. Vast work experience of at least 5 years in the South African Film Service is essential, as well as previous experience in the German Production market.

Candidate needs to maintain our extended German client business relations and develop further international marketing and extend German / international Service productions

Relevant commercial production and post production experience is essential. Experience in the German Agency market is preferable.

Duties & Responsibilities:

• New Business Acquisition & Marketing
• Production budget preparations & budget presentations
• Realisation & supervision of all production stages
• Running & supervising production crew on commerical productions / projects
• Cost negotiations
• Directors - & talent research
• Managing production teams on specific projects
• Minimum Requirements:
• Diploma in Marketing Communications or similar relevant qualification
• Additional studies in media/film would be an advantage
• 6 years working experience in production or similar field. Strong knowledge of television and film production.
• Background in various creative fields, advertising agency experience related.
• Growth focused individual with strong analytical, problem solving and conceptual thinking skills. Works well under pressure and as part of a team.
• Ability to interpret and design complex processes – both new and existing.
• Meticulous, with commitment to delivery and ability to meet deadlines.
• Excellent interpersonal, planning and organizational skills.
• Strong communication skills - verbal and written. Be able to prepare and present budgets, schedules and client presentations.
• Solid understanding of the commercial production process as well as complimentary industries, such as digital in-store, print, web, production etc.
