    Area Manager

    Job description

    Responsibilities

    • Ensure the achievement of Sales Objectives and Targets.
    • Recruit and manage teams.
    • Ensure development of sales expertise.
    • Coaching of sales team in the field.
    • Develop strong relationships and manage major clients.
    • Organise and run events for new and current launches.
    • Keep management informed (competiton, initiatives, distribution...)
    • Monitor the correct use of tester and credit budgets by store.
    • Manage and implement the correct use and phasing of the relief staffing budget.
    • Implement strong use of the marketing calendar by store to ensure key objectives are met.
    • Manage stock- to- sales ratios closely.
    • Provide key assistance for BA’s by developing key action plans for their business.
    • Assist BA’s on a daily basis; ensuring marketing, merchandising & sales objectives are met.
    • Oversee all incentive projects that are put together by Marketing.
    • Manage and support new door openings.
    • Report back to and give regular feedback to Key Account Managers as well as National Sales Managers.

    Skill Requirements / Personal / Professional Competencies

    • Driver’s License (willing to drive long distances).
    • Computer literate (excel, word).
    • Negotiation skills.
    • Knowledge of clients and competition within the beauty environment.
    • Good numeracy and ability to control budget.
    • Able to develop and maintain relationships with key role players at store level.
    • Good people management skills and ability to drive team objectives.
    • Organisational skills for multi- branding responsibility.

    Education & Experience

    • Matric, tertiary education a plus.
    • Cosmetic experience, min 1 year.
    • Area Management experience, min 1 year.
