The primary function of the Sales Representative, South Africa exclusively comprises the development of new business opportunities for the Company’s products – there will be no account management/growth dimension to the role at this embryonic stage; a heavy reliance on the ability to source, engage and convert new clients is thus imperative. Long-term sustainable organic growth will be necessary at subsequent phases in the commercial development of the territory. The ideal candidate will be a consultative sales practitioner with extensive B2B sales experience within a highly technical environment, possessing exceptional presentation/communication attributes and commercial acumen. The Sales Representative will report directly to the Export Sales Director.
Accountabilities
- Designing and executing effective commercial strategies.
- Prospecting and targeting prospective clients within a defined sales territory.
- Designing and managing pricing/profitability strategies to ensure sustainable revenue growth while maintaining company profitability.
- Identifying specific targets and projecting the number of contacts to be made within a mutually agreed timescale.
- Developing and maintaining sales materials and current product knowledge.
- Participation in all sales presentations/negotiations.
- Maintaining and fostering relationships with internal departments and external suppliers/partners with regard to meeting and exceeding client requirements.
- Developing and maintaining all pertinent records and ad hoc reports for management reviews and strategic planning.
- Attendance of trade conferences and exhibitions.

- Undergraduate degree in Economics or Physical/Life Sciences
- Proven B2B sales experience (minimum 4 years)
- Fluency in Greek an additional asset
