Job description

Our systems are used within financial institutions for back-office processing automation, that includes front-end functionality and back-end processing. Responsibilities and requirements are:

• Given a good understanding of the building blocks within the systems, the candidate should be able to provide a solution design for requirements, combined with the ability to code the solution (using Javascript and T-SQL amongst others) and to implement and train business users in using the solution.
• Working in a professional business environment, the candidate should be adequately skilled to interact professionally and at arms-length with stakeholders. The acquiring of requirement specifications, the chairing of work sessions and subsequent interactions with others must be done in a professional and timeous manner.
• The customer's technical documentation and system management processes require the candidate to be fluent in reading-and-writing in English, together with the skills to express technical content in an accurate and understandable fashion.
• Although our company is located in Centurion, the customer locations are located across Gauteng. The candidate therefore needs to be able to travel daily to any of the allocated locations. Placement at one location is normally done for longer periods of time, but it may be in our interest from time to time to move staff around for business reasons.
• An applicable tertiary qualification is a definite must-have for the position. This may include a BSc Information Technology and BCom Informatics. Candidates with higher qualifications than these are also welcome to apply.
