PURPOSE OF THE JOB

To assist with the performance of audits across the group, which includes but is not limited to attending auctions, stock counts, year end, ad hoc and store audits under the guidance and instruction of the internal audit supervisor.

KEY PERFORMANCE AREAS

• Auditing
• Performs audits at the auction house and stores in terms of the set procedures based on instructions received from the internal audit supervisor.
• Performs stock counts at auction house and stores as advised by the internal audit supervisor.
• Compiles and prepares working papers and reports based on the audit findings.
• Risk Register
• Assists in the update and consolidation of the Risk Register and Monitoring.
• Reporting
• Assists in the update and consolidation of the Incident Report.
• Reports, to management, potential areas of concern and / or opportunities when measuring compliance with company policies and procedures.
• Projects and Ad Hoc Investigations
• Undertakes ad hoc investigations as requested by the internal audit supervisor within parameters and timeframes. Reports on findings with recommendations within the required timeframe.
• Audit and Risk Committee Preparation and Presentation
• Assists in the preparation of Audit and Risk Committee packs.
• Continuous Business and Product Knowledge
• Stays up to date with business and product knowledge to enable the incumbent to identify discrepancies and report on these.
