• Certificate Advanced Coal Preparation ( Essential/Minimum
• Certificate First Line Management ( Essential/Minimum
• N Dip: Metallurgical Engineering ( Essential/Minimum )

EXPERIENCE:

5 years Metallurgical/Plant exposure/Operating within a Plant Mining environment (Essential/Minimum) (Operational)

OUTPUTS:

• Contribute to business improvement processes to ensure optimum value extraction from plant operations
• Ensure optimal use of available resources, both people and equipment
• Conduct trouble-shooting in order to identify root cause for substandard operating conditions
• Complete, process and update all records and related documentation
• Manage quality control system to client/export specifications
• Manage plant maintenance programme
• Conduct daily/ monthly metallurgical accounting
• Manage re- mining of discard operation
• BUSINESS STRATEGY AND DEVELOPMENT
• Implement operational improvement initiatives
• Ensure attainment of production quantitative and qualitative targets
• Execute plant production plan
• Cooperate in improvement teams to implement business improvement
• Implement available best practice
• Execute export dispatch weekly schedule

• Adhere to corporate governance principles and policies

• Comply with Rail Safety Regulator (RSR) Act standards (where applicable)

• Execute plans and processes which minimize manufacturing costs through effective utilization of manpower, equipment, facilities and materials
• Manage spending against budget in relation to changes in production volume
• LOGISTICS MANAGEMENT
• Manage product logistics through own organisation, contractors and third party service providers (as applicable)
• SAFE AND HEALTHY WORK ENVIRONMENT
• Maintain and ensure a healthy environment, safe operations and practices, ensuring compliance with all applicable SHE policies and procedures in line with set standards
• Encourage a culture that focuses on SHE in all operations
• Fulfill MHSA Regulation 292 responsibilities - assistant to enforce regulations and standards carry 2.16.1 appointment.
