    The Graduate Programme equips successful applicants with knowledge of, and skills in, the functioning of the fast-changing and important financial sector in general and, specifically, the role of the central bank in the economy.

    Graduate Programme

    • Graduates will be stationed at the Bank’s Head Office in Pretoria from mid-January to December 2017.
    • During this period they will receive intensive work-based learning offered by the South African Reserve Bank Academy (SARB Academy).
    • Graduates will be permanently appointed into a department within the Bank, on a 12-month probation period.
    • Graduates will receive a competitive salary for the duration of the programme.

    Job Requirements

    These are:

    1. You are a South African citizen.
    2. You have completed an undergraduate degree or honours degree in any of the following subjects:
    • economics;
    • money and banking;
    • accounting;
    • econometrics;
    • business statistics;
    • mathematical sciences;
    • risk management;
    • finance;
    • law;
    • political science; and
    • international relations.

    You demonstrate the following behaviours:

    • drive for results;
    • analysing and problem-solving;
    • planning and organising;
    • effective communication;
    • building and maintaining relationships;
    • team work;
    • self-awareness; and
    • learning focus.
