Intro:

A young and dynamic software development company based in Bryanston has a vacancy in the Web development space. The vacancy is suitable for someone who is looking to use their Microsoft .Net development skills and gain experience in the stock exchange trading and portfolio management environment.

Minimum Requirements/Competencies:

• Degree or equivalent technical qualification
• 3 - 5 years of commercial programming experience
• Excellent .Net V4 knowledge (including ASP.net and WinForms)
• OOP programming
• All major web technologies: HTML, CSS, JavaScript & JQuery, Angular JS
• Excellent WinForms including UI design, multi-threading and async programming
• Real-time and event based programming including publish/subscribe messaging systems
• WebAPI and Rest based programming
• Database design, SQL queries and stored procs.
• Entity framework experience a big plus
• Source control systems including TFS
• Experience of TDD and testing frameworks
• Added advantage:
• DevExpress controls
• Telerik controls or Kendo UI
• DotNetNuke or equivalent CMS
• Financial markets knowledge
• Mobile and Tablet applications using Xamarin
• Data analytics and BI dashboards

• Can multi-task on development projects
• Responsibilities:
• The successful applicant will be responsible for:
• Developing trading and portfolio management web applications
• Developing real-time support and admin applications
• Research new technologies and programming techniques
• Industry research – Keep up to date with new technologies and developments in the financial markets space
• Develop client software based on functionality needs analysis received from the BA
• Keep the client or BA up to date with any difficulties, restrictions in regards to the development of their requirements & propose alternative solutions
• Ops, testing & training - work with the QA and Ops team to develop training materials, assist with client delivery and implementation strategies as and when required.
