    Internal Sales

    Job description

    HellermannTyton Johannesburg, South Africa is seeking a dynamic, ambitious and self-motivated Internal sales person to perform day-to-day tasks associated with a sales call centre, including telephonic, e-mail and fax communications, sales order processing and general clerical functions, in accordance with the company’s quality management systems, processes and procedures.

    Some of the Key Performance Areas would include:

     

    • Order processing
    • Interacting with customers regarding enquiries and queries.
    • Technical Support
    • Developing relationships with new clients and maintaining existing client relationships
    • Achieve monthly sales targets
    • Managing sales processes
    • Liaise with internal departments to ensure that sales objectives are met.
    • Monitor competitor activities by obtaining information on competitors and market trends.
    • Processing quotations for customers.
    • Following up on quotations to convert into orders.
    • Attend product training and events from time to time.
    • Monitoring backorder reports.
    • Liaise with stores/dispatch regarding deliveries of all orders.
    • Meet weekly and monthly with allocated External Sales representative to prepare and formulate strategies with the
    • purpose of achieving sales targets.
    • Sales negotiating with customers.

    Core Competencies – Attributes:

    • Above average communication skills (English and Afrikaans – Verbal and Written).
    • Above average computer literacy (MS Word, Excel, Outlook).
    • Above average numeracy.
    • Self-motivated, own initiative and good organisational and administrative skills.
    • Customer Service orientated.
    • Sound knowledge of sales call centre techniques and ability to work according to set procedures.
    • Multi-tasking ability and good time-management skills.
    • An excellent team-player.

    Additional Job related requirements:

     

    • Overtime work as and when required.
    • You must be available to attend after-hour customer functions and events.
    • You must be available to assist with company stock counts.
    • You must be available to attend monthly sales training.

    Requirements:

     

    • Matric Certificate or equivalent.
    • Electrical Wholesale / Distribution experience.
    • N3-N6 Electrical / Electronic trade certificate (Advantageous).
    • 3-5 years sales experience in the Electrical Industry.
