    Payroll Administrator

    Job description

    This position will be based at the CRS Technologies Head office in Gauteng

    Salary range: Negotiable Effective Date: 1 August 2017

    DEPARTMENT: Outsourced Payroll Services Division

    REPORTS TO: BPO Manager / Team Leader

    PRIMARY FUNCTION

    • The administration of outsourced payrolls;
    • Payroll supervisory services; and associated administrative processes and procedures

    EDUCATION

    • Matric certificate with mathematics or equivalent recognition of prior learning
    • National Diploma in Payroll Education or equivalent (desirable)

    EXPERIENCE & JOB KNOWLEDGE

    • Comprehensive knowledge and understanding of:
    • South African Taxation that primarily affects payroll taxes
    • Basic Conditions of Employment Act
    • SA Legislation that affects payroll
    • Microsoft Software Applications
    • Computerized payroll operations
    • Payroll processes and procedures
    • Bargaining Counsil rules that affect payroll
    • Statutory reporting and or returns
    • SARS EE registrations
    • Stats SA
    • Monthly and Annual SA Revenue submissions
    • Annual Department of Labour Submission
    • Monthly UIF submission
    • SARS E-Filing and SARS U-Filing reconciliations and submissions
    • Shifts, overtime, bonuses etc. and how they are calculated in payroll
    • Payroll Journals / GL postings
    • 3rd Party Reconciliations

    • Excellent communications skills (both verbal and written)
    • Ability to evaluate queries and advise clients in a timely and professional manner
    • Proven numeric skills
    • Positive attitude

    • Proactive approach to problem solving
    • Strong emphasis on accuracy and quality of work
    • Ability to multi-task and co-ordinate a series of different jobs concurrently
    • Ability to work under pressure and to strict deadlines

    • Compliance with the division’s operational processes and procedures

    • Client satisfaction and resolution of issues
    • Identification and generation of revenue generating work
