Mill Logistics Team Leader at Kimberly-Clark

Job Description

• Ensure safe and environmentally sound working conditions and practises within area of responsibility.
• Maintain effective, accurate and measurable documented processes, to ensure conformance to CFI’s/EtQ and business controls.
• Manage and control inbound FLT movements and ensure inbound transactions in our systems are in-line with CFI requirements, SARS rules and business controls.
• Ensure that the inbound teams are trained and developed to meet current and future demands, whilst maintaining sound industrial relations at all times.
• Ensure fair and just application of the Disciplinary/Grievance procedures.
• Liaise with Operations, Planning, Expeditors, DHL, Quality, Finance & Shipping departments to ensure effective management of call-offs and transactions from outside storage facilities in order to meet the assets’ material requirements.
• Simultaneously reduce stock holding at outside facilities, eliminate port demurrage costs, encourage direct containers to Epping deliveries to minimize moves between facilities to save transport and storage costs.
• Ensure accurate inventory records ensuring counts are performed as per rules and an inventory accuracy of 98%+ is maintained.
• Ensure sound management of the rebate store as per SARS rules and regulations and ensure that the Rebate register is up to date.
• Ensure full compliance of daily receiving/NCR/pallet returns processes in compliance with KC requirements as defined in respective commercial and service level agreements and Kimberly-Clark’s CFI and SOX objectives and SARS rules.
• Ensure safety, internal controls, team development, CAPA, LSW and 5S programmes are maintained properly.
• Ensure proper maintenance of all logistics equipment and facilities
• Responsible for site Forklift management.

Minimum Requirements

• 3 year tertiary logistics qualification with 5 years logistics experience
• 5 years’ experience in a FMCG environment.
• Computer literate: SAP, Microsoft Excel/Outlook /Word/PowerPoint.
• Excellent communication skills.
• In depth knowledge of warehousing and receiving operations and business systems (e.g. WMS, SAP R/3).
