    Job description

    Do you love making customers happy?

    Then this could be the position for you! Matilda’s is looking for a customer-based service consultant; someone who adores people, is motivated by a varied/dynamic list of tasks and responsibilities and someone with a fondness for coffee :)

    What would you do?

    In this position, you’d handle all customer interaction (email, live chat and telephone), making sure they have the best experience possible of our brand.

    You’d also work to ensure that the brand, quality and business goals are met and organise and implement structure and procedures for the efficient running of our office environment.

    We'd want you to contribute creatively to the customer experience - use your knowledge from customer interaction to suggest ways we can make things and processes better! You'd need to keep your fingers on the pulse of our customer needs and wants and make sure we are always keeping up with changing trends.

    The person we want:

    We need a combination of someone with analytical skills and with excellent interpersonal skills. You need to have a way with people, an energy and vibe that inspires trust and happiness. You'll also need to be/have:

    • High attention to detail (one might say OCD)
    • Big focus on achieving results (one might say over-achiever)
    • Focused on outcome
    • A people pleaser
    • Loyal and hardworking
    • Proactive in bringing new ideas and jumping into the trenches (one might say ambitious)
    • Disciplined in organisation and planning
    • Enthusiastic with a “can do” attitude (one might say annoyingly positive)

    You also need to be someone who is not afraid of going above and beyond. Research customer trends, assist with admin, report and give feedback on trends you're noticing. It's a role with a lot of scope and would suit someone passionate, ambitious and just plain awesome!

    • Efficiently co-ordinate, track and manage administrative roles
    • Provide relevant and up-to-date industry research and information
    • Maintain the awesomeness of our office environment (it is pretty legit)

    Do you have the following requirements / experience?

    • Are you a fluent English speaker who can communicate articulately and clearly in speech and writing?
    • Do you have a minimum of 4 years of customer service & admin/PA experience?
    • Do you have expertise in handling customers services complaints and compliments?
    • Do you have experience working in an e-commerce company (not a requirement, but would be advantageous)
