    Business Development Associate

    Job description

    • Work with team members across all functional areas (regulatory, clinical operations, data management, scientific affairs, business development, finance and legal) to ensure the most comprehensive, cost effective and appropriate strategy is presented in the budget.
    • Develop the budget and perform quality control edits prior to distribution to the client.
    • Work with operational, finance and legal teams as needed throughout the contracting process .
    • Prepare budget revisions and contract modifications based on finance tracking and project team forecasts.
    • Track all Business Development activities
    • Support TCD responses to formal Requests for Proposal (RFPs)
    • Support the development and improvement of department procedures and process tools
    • Support the Business Analyst in the compilation of TCD metrics such as forecasting of resource utilisation and future requirements

    Skills and Knowledge:

    • Excellent Excel skills
    • Good budgeting experience
    • Basic medical/therapeutic area knowledge and familiarity with medical terminology.
    • Ability to interpret Requests for Proposals (RFPs) and protocols as related to budget and proposal development.
    • Excellent interpersonal skills, high level of interpersonal awareness and diplomacy.
    • Ability to work both independently and cohesively in a team environment.
    • Effective time management and multi-tasking skills, the ability to work under pressure.
    • Sound problem solving and decision-making skills.
    • Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
    • Effective oral and written communication skills in English.
    • Proficient in Microsoft Office
    • Some level of flexibility with regard to working hours (i.e. willingness to attend ad hoc evening teleconferences).
