    Finance Controlling Analyst

This position ensures the integrity of the financial results for all SEA units, by way of ensuring all MDLZ policies are followed and financial information is correctly recorded. The role also supports Statutory & Tax Accounting and oversees cooperation with Genpact /Accenture Team.

    Key Accountabilities

    In line with the job purpose, key accountabilities will entail the following:

    • Preparation and insightful analysis of accurate, timely and relevant financial information that provides a value-adding foundation to evaluate business performance and underpins decision making in business unit:
    • Financial reporting of historical performance
    • Analysis of performance, providing insight into root causes of financial issues and recommendations for mitigation and future interventions or changes in strategy
    • Validating OH and ensuring proper Cost Centers & GL accounts assignment
    • Manage RTM recharges (existing & expanded scope per new policy)
    • Tracking and monitoring ongoing projects and initiatives
    • Compliance with SOX, adherence to company policies and procedures and effective liaison with internal and external auditors.
    • Use broad financial analysis and business knowledge to identify financial issues and opportunities to optimize financial results and to drive/influence management decisions.
    • Actively participate in Internal/US GAAP/Statutory audits for all legal entities
    • Identify and articulate improvement initiatives aligned with group and departmental goals and actively lead and/or participate in process improvement project
    • Maintain Tax accounting activities in liaison with Tax Manager
    • Manage statutory accounting leger and ensure Statutory Audit and Reporting completeness and on time submission.
    • Assist month end close activities through coordination, expense recognition, journal entries, and compliance to internal controls and process
    • Prepare preliminary financial updates and variance analysis to enable transparency into financial performance and drivers

    Qualifications

    In order to succeed in this role, it is expected that the ideal candidate will have:

    • Minimum Diploma in accounting, with Financial Accounting as a major subject
    • At least four years working in an Audit/ FMCG financial accounting/controlling environment
    • Proactive business partnering skills
    • A willingness to embed a control culture within the business
    • Works effectively in cross functional team and across cultures
    • Good communication skills and ability to explain financial concepts
    • Excellent numeracy and analytical skills
    • Strong system and data processing skills, particular in SAP and Excel
    • Problem-solving skills
    • Demonstrated ability to work within tight deadlines and timelines, with proven experience in meeting goals on time
    • Consult and seek out guidance from finance managers and senior management
