    Business Development Manager

    Job description

    Manitou Group is looking for a Mining graduate to take up the position of Business Development Manager for Manitou Mining world wide. The successful person will be based at Manitou SA in Chloorkop, Johannesburg, and will be expected to grow the mining business worldwide.

    Main responsibilities :

    • Set up Sales Mining Strategy defined by Managing Director, Project Engineer (South Africa) and Senior International Account Manager (Head Office – France)
    • Define region and country priority with action plan:
      • Analyse Dealers and required coverage
      • Adapt machine and attachments range for sales
      • Develop new solutions for Mining with Manitou Products
      • Adapt and propose service facilities/coverage and location per Territory
      • Validate offers detail and define pricing structure (price, warranty, etc.)
    • Propose Sales budget:
      • Per region and country
      • Consolidate worldwide turnover and units
    • Propose Expenses Budget:
      • Regional support for Marketing budget and consolidation
      • Prepare corporate Marketing budget
    • Marketing plan:
      • Propose external communication
      • Propose Mining fairs / Mining days/Customer days
      • Propose external events / mining club
    • Marketing product:
      • Propose and update training packages
      • Identify sales argumentation (efficiency solutions)
      • Realize sales support tools (video, job report, etc.)
      • Prepare annual product review (machines & attachments)
      • Quarterly Technical Committee review
      • Set up technical specification form
      • Analyse specific demands
      • Present to technical committee
      • Analyse multiple offers or orders enquiries (technical and financial)
    • Sales follow up:
      • Manage Regional Mining Sales
      • Manage Main Direct Key Accounts
      • Worldwide business follow up (minimum twice a month)
      • Forecast set up and monthly review
      • Personal customer per region focus
      • Regular region and customer visit
      • Buffer stock follow up (machines and attachments)

    Reporting:

    • Consolidation of Regional Sales Manager weekly report
    • Monthly business review
    • Quarterly expenses review
    • VOR service efficiency

    Qualifications & Skills Required:

    Mining Graduate
