Job purpose:

• To ensure the availability of the plant by maintaining the instrumentation equipment according to company standards and by applying best maintenance practices.
• Minimize shutdown time by planning and controlling allocated tasks.
• Participate in investigating and taking corrective actions in the event of instrument failures and or incidents.
• Ensure that the companies safety policy is applied by executing scheduled inspections.
• Applies instrumentation theory and related knowledge to test and modify developmental or operational control equipment and circuitry.
• Assembles and test experimental and operational instrumentation devices, soleniods, and other equipment and components according to engineering data, the companies practices and knowledge of instrumentation principles.
• Good fault finding techniques on all DCS process related incidents with corrective action.

Backround/Experience Required

• Qualified Instrumentation trade.
• minimum N5 Instrumentation Qualification.
• Minimum 5 years hands-on industrial experience.
• Good knowledge of pressure, temperature and flow equipment.
• Strong PLC knowledge.
• Strong DCS/ SCADA knowledge (Yokogawa)
• Knowledge of analyzers will be an advantage.
• Experiece in Computrised Mainteance Management Systems will be a strong advantage.
• Good knowledge of Microsoft packages(Word, Excel, Powerpoint)
• Knowledge of the OHS regulations.

• Be able to draw and interpret instrumentation wiring diagrams.
• Asset Management knowledge.
• Good technical skills.
• Operation and ASU Process.
