Job description

A leading private provider is looking at recruiting a suitably qualified Academic Researcher and Facilitator to join its highly skilled team of educators. The provider's purpose is to cultivate managerial leaders through the core principles of business driven action learning by offering students a personalised journey of self-discovery and co-creation.

The ideal candidate will have a postgraduate qualification and have experience in managing a full spectrum of Academic Research activities and assist in the facilitation of accredited higher education qualification offered in a distance mode of delivery.

Profile

• Postgraduate Qualification
• 3 Years teaching experience at a tertiary institution
• Experience in Business Management, Leadership and Technology Management
• Computer skills
• Experience in delivering and supporting distance education as well as classroom-based tutorials
• Must be well versed in teaching methodologies
• Good administration skills

Required skills:

• Research
• Scope agreed in-house customised research projects, defining the research, hypothesis, methodology, approach, reporting requirements and plan by the agreed deadlines
• Conduct research by applying approved methodology and research standards, collecting research findings, analysing findings, developing research reports and recommendations and presenting findings by agreed deadline
• Integrate customised research findings with other research procured and sourced, internally and externally, by developing integrated research reports and presenting findings and recommendations, as and when required
• Develop and present expert opinions and research papers by conducting research, drafting articles or papers, submitting for review and publishing in relevant media monthly
• Facilitation
• Lecturing and mentoring of student
• Providing guidance with academic research
• Course and curriculum development as required
• Any other academic management services required in the scope of pedagogical orientation and development.

Remuneration will be discussed with successful applicants and is based on experience.
