Job description

Purpose of the Job:

Perform financial accounting procedures to business and individuals who outsource their financial accounting responsibilities.

Duties include:

• Process relevant year end journal entries
• Prepares quality working paper file according to firm’s standards
• Drafts annual financial statements
• Prepares documents required to be signed by clients
• Captures client cash book and other financial records on Pastel
• Produces monthly management accounts
• Reconciles petty cash
• Reconciles monthly accounts
• Prepares monthly customer statements
• Performs and assists in the accounting function of audit
• Timeously completes and submits VAT returns via E-Fling/Manually

Pre-requisites:

• Grade 12 with Accountancy as a subject
• 5 - 8 Year Relevant Experience

• Proficiency in the following computer packages:-
• MS Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook)
• Pastel
• Team-player
• Deadline driven
• Able to multi-task
• Be meticulous
