    Associate Director Corporate Finance

    Purpose of the role

    • Your responsibilities will include managing the Corporate Finance Department, providing direction, supervision and reviewing of corporate finance reports/ assignments/ projects. This role reports to the Corporate Finance Director

    Responsibilities

    Individual outputs:

    • Initiation of engagement process
    • Presentation of reports to clients
    • Fieldwork
    • Produce initial / draft reports (incl. changes after reviews and client feedback): Valuations and reviews; Fairness opinions; Due diligence investigations/reports; Specialist reviews; Financial models; Viability studies and capital investment appraisal; Mergers and Acquisitions and Management buy-outs
    • Manage individual productivity

    Results accountable for:

    • Review and final sign-off of all (initial, draft & final) reports
    • Overall budget management
    • Project / assignment budget management

    Management:

    • Capacity management, team structure and related roles –
    • Job planning and allocation of work
    • Resolve escalated queries
    • Approve timesheets and leave
    • Performance management
    • On-going review / monitoring of work
    • Career and succession management
    • Employee management
    • Department administration (ensure invoicing, cash collection and post engagement documentation are performed timeously)

    Leadership:

    • Strategic orientation
    • Acts in alignment with the Mazars’ culture
    • Communication
    • Performance management (leadership component)
    • On-the-job training, coaching and guiding
    • Motivate and engage team members

    Client outputs:

    • ­Build and maintain professional client relationships
    • Grow client portfolio

    Qualifications

    • Honours Degree (Finance / Accounting) or equivalent
    • Registered as a CA(SA) will be beneficial
    • Minimum of 5 years' corporate finance experience
