Campaign Selection Analyst (PG9) at Sanlam Group

Role Summary

You will be working closely with the Marketing Operations and Data Analysts teams and be responsible for the end-to-end tasks within the campaign execution process.


Output/Core Tasks
Responsibilities include, but not limited to:
Data Preparation

• Ensure that required data attributes are available for selection
• Create formalized specifications for all new criteria types that are not available on the existing database.
• Create formalized specifications for all new processes that are not available
• Processing, cleansing and verifying the integrity of data used for campaigns
   

Campaign extractions

• Create and execute relevant data queries to support the data selection criteria
• Collect and create the data required to produce the required extract
• Ensure relevant peer review of data queries and output is conducted
• Conduct business validation data tests to ensure the correctness of the extract and format of the output files
• Provide requestor with a clear view of the steps to produce the required extract (drop off analysis)
• Provide requestor with samples output files for checking and sign off
• Deliver the output files in line with data security governance. This might require manual transfer (e.g. to internal shared drive), persistence in other BI instances (e.g. Cloudera), secure upload to 3rd party systems (e.g. Everlytics, Facebook) or upload to internal Sanlam systems (e.g. leads management system)
• Investigate queries and complaints related to provided data extracts
   

Stakeholder Engagement

• Evaluate and confirm or feedback or request more information on data selection criteria and output file requirements received from business stakeholders
• Advise requestor of potential omissions or improvements based on previous selection experience and knowledge of available data as relevant Effectively and pro-actively contract with data providers outside of BI to provide selection data timeously
• Co-ordinate own priorities in conjunction with both internal and external providers

Requirements
Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree (information systems/statistics/data or computer science/engineering) or equivalent
• Practical experience in data or selection analyst positions
   

Knowledge, Experience And Skills

• Proficient: Microsoft office suite
• Proficient: data selection (SQL or similar)
• Proficient: working knowledge of accessing and linking data in a datamart / warehouse environment.
• Advantageous: SAP HANA , R skills
• Advantageous: experience with data selection for client campaigns, knowledge of campaign management process and principles, working knowledge of data aspects of a campaign management system (e.g. Adobe, SAS)
• Experience in working with agile methodology
