Linux Developer at Absa

This role is for a Developer/Analyst who will form part of the Credit Risk IT Services team that is tasked with providing solutions across all supported business areas that include:
 

• Application installation and configuration
• Support of and enhancements to existing custom developed solutions or vendor solutions
• Undertaking & performing code reviews prior to UAT and Prod deployments
• Development and execution of unit tests and UAT simulations to prove new development or feature changes meet business requirements.
• Provide support to the Application support team (Run the bank team) with regards to Risk services related production issues
• Participate in the design and development of the enhancements to the general infrastructure (Java, SQL, ETL such as SSIS or Informatica, Linux, Linux scripting or technology specific to a particular Risk Area)
• Optimizing the functionality available to the user base and delivering innovative solutions that supports business needs by addressing business as usual requirements as well as project requirements

What we looking for:

• Minimum of 4 years experience in Linux and a Dev role
• Must have Linux based Shell Scripting Experience
• Experience in ETL will be an added advantage
• Experience in Automation
• Experience  in Scheduling tools and batch processing
