OfferZen has partnered with Investec to make programmable banking a reality in South Africa. This empowers our developer community to innovate in the traditionally inaccessible FinTech space and grow the economy. We are a small team that runs a number of cross-organisational projects to help us promote programmable banking as well as drive community engagement and business adoption.
We need a non-traditional Project Lead to jump in, get their hands dirty and help us figure out, plan and execute on these projects that drive our partnership goals.
What you’ll do
Own (execute and manage) the roll out of cross-organisational projects, ensuring that they maximise partnership goals
Continuously refine and create systems and processes to help deliver on our partnership goals
Keep all stakeholders in the partnership up-to-date through continuous, clear communication including weekly OfferZen updates
Generate awesome quarterly reports for Investec which effectively showcase the work we have done as well as the value it creates for the partnership, community and Investec
Manage weekly cross-organisational project management meeting, sharing notes and keeping track of all action items
Effectively manage the end to end creation and distribution of awesome community and programmable banking content to drive our partnership goals
What you need to be very good at
Strong project management: plan, brief, coordinate and execute on cross-organisational projects
Stakeholder management and relationship building: strong interpersonal skills and the ability to effectively manage relationships with a range of stakeholders, understanding their needs and maximising the benefits of working together
Excellent communication: effective and professional communication of information and ideas in verbal and written format, including report writing.
High work ethic and detail-focused: goes the extra mile to ensure things get executed on a consistent basis and nothing falls through the cracks.
Accountability: you’re not afraid of being held accountable or holding others accountable
Structured and process-oriented: you work in a process-driven manner and quickly create systems to support the processes
Degreed or a good reason for dropping out
3+ years experience working as a non-traditional project champion, lead or manager
Experience working in a startup environment, ideally tech
Advantageous to have experience managing cross-organisational projects or partnerships

We're good at remote. We have office space in Cape Town and Amsterdam but we're working remotely a lot of the time. For this role, we need someone located in South Africa. It's more fun to be near our Cape Town hub office, but we have all the tooling and processes to operate very effectively remotely.
