Purpose of the Position

To ensure that arrear and non-performing accounts are collected and managed effectively to minimise Centrafin’s losses.
Key Responsibility Areas

• Project a presentable and friendly image to clients with a professional telephone manner
• Carry out full function of credit control
• Liaise with sales staff, regarding status of account and discuss overdue amounts which are not resolved and find a solution to prevent aging of accounts
• Accept responsibility for the performance and duties as laid down by company policy
• Daily debtors reconciliations
• Daily telephonic collections and recording of such action on system
• Daily action of outstanding queries
• Processing daily receipting and ageing debtors accounts correctly
• Daily assistance to other departments such as sales and operations
• Maintaining debtors ageing according to KPA’s
• Meet monthly collection targets and reduce Portfolio At Risk
• Minimize credit risks
• Attend debtors meetings and report on ageing
• Issue final demands
• Attend to monthly statements and settlement procedures

Job Requirements

Education & Experience

• Grade 12 (Matric)
• Tertiary studies in financial field will be an advantage
• Minimum 3 years Credit Control experience, preferably in the operating rental and motor finance sector

Technical Competencies

• Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written
• Product knowledge (Operating Rentals, Instalment Sale, Financial Lease)
• Risk control/Credit control/Debtors Collections
• Thorough knowledge and understanding of applicable legislation (NCA,CPA)
• Knowledge and understanding of Credit and Risk Policies & Procedures
