Senior Cloud Engineer, Detection and Response at F-Secure Corporation

As a Senior Cloud Engineer, you will be working in a team developing and maintaining F-Secure Detection and Response backend systems that provide industry leading capabilities to detect and respond to advanced cyber attacks. You are the go-to person for all things related to building production grade systems.

Key Responsibilities
You will be responsible for our service infrastructure, deployed in the public cloud, working as a member in a team of world-class developers and cloud experts. You will be developing monitoring, metrics collection, deployment pipeline and alerting systems as well as improve the system elasticity using autoscaling and serverless components. As a senior member of the team, you will coach the team to use these systems and help them to develop, deploy and operate production grade services.

What are we looking for?

• Keen interest in understanding the detection and response services and the value they provide
• Solid experience in public cloud technologies and infrastructure, operating (large) highly-available distributed backend systems and continuous deployment practises
• Security minded approach
• Fluent written and spoken English
• 3+ years of experience using AWS or other public cloud services and deployment automation (e.g. AWS EC2, ECS, Fargate, Lambda, StepFunctions, API Gateway, AppSync, IAM, networking concepts, Cloud Development Kit, CloudFormation, CloudWatch, Code Pipeline, Code Build, S3, Kinesis, Aurora, DynamoDB, ElastiCache, Neptune, RDS, Glue, Athena)
• 3+ years of experience and knowledge of some of the following: Docker, ElasticSearch, NOSQL & SQL databases, REST APIs, Jenkins, RabbitMQ
• Prior development experience with Python / node.js / Java is considered a plus

Detection and Response backends is a high performing team working on world class systems. We have people from multiple cultures and backgrounds, spread across multiple sites and use remote-first approach when collaborating within the team. However, this is not a remote-only position.
We work also in close co-operation with other teams at F-Secure such as Threath Hunters who provide the Managed Detection and Response service to our clients and with teams who are specialised in Artificial Intelligence and Machine Learning to name a few.
