    Service/Experience Designer

    Who we are looking for:

    Our team runs a community that’s focussed on helping developers from across South Africa to “make programmable banking a reality” with Investec. We run events and organise hackathons (online for now), we encourage and sponsor open source projects, we provide help and support for developers, we capture and share case studies… 

    We need a multichannel Service/Experience Designer to help us imagine, extend and build our community experience and help us meet our partnership goals.

    What you’ll do:

    You get to help us design online community events, build landing pages to position the events, work with illustrators to design custom swag, design and build all the forms and flows for registration and activation, figure out how to get feedback and incorporate it into the community product. A finger in every slice of the service/experience pie! What could be more fun?!

    Responsibilities: 

    • Work with a small team to continuously refine and execute on our community experience/product and Investec Partnership 

    • Take ownership of the full UX design process (ideation, wireframing, design and build)

    • Map out community user journey, create well leveraged touch points (including content, marketing and swag) and build systems to automate these processes

    • Design and create effective and delightful user collateral (presentations, landing pages, email banners etc) that enables community engagements and help us drive our project goals

    • Facilitate user testing and evaluate user feedback to further improve our community product

    The ideal person:

    • Able to take UX thinking & flexibly apply it across multiple platforms

    • You can design the flow, function and appearance of user journeys end-to-end

    • Advantageous to have experience with using UX methods, such as user stories, user interviewing techniques, workflow, interaction design, to inform community product development.

    • Some experience of design tools like Sketch/Figma or Adobe Suite. Advantageous to have experience working with Webflow/Ghost/Squarespace/other low code platforms.

    • Ideally 1-3 years experience in UX Design. Advantageous to have experience in Graphic design or UI design.

    • Has a diploma or university degree (Degree in design or psychology is a bonus)
