Job Description
The successful candidate will work closely with the director lead Treasury Management Services team. Key tasks and responsibilities may include but are not limited to:
Assist the Directors to build and conceptualize the business (i.e. entrepreneurial skills)
Originating and executing outsourced treasury management service mandates.
Maintaining in-depth knowledge of the forecast cashflow projections for the relevant business/client, both on a 12-month rolling basis and a shorter term, 3 month basis.
Managing all funding covenant related provisions in respect of each funding instrument to ensure that the client does not breach any covenant. Providing accurate and timely forecasts which predict whether the business is in date of any function covenant breaches in the months ahead and what steps need to be taken to avoid this.
Ensuring work and deliverables are performed per agreed-upon timeframes and departmental procedures, standards and protocols.
Interacting with senior management to understand the risks within the client’s business, business changes, and other significant events that could significantly impact the client’s internal control over treasury risk reporting, IT, data privacy controls and the treasury business plan.
Conducting meetings with the relevant business units to discuss the treasury risk position, progress of reporting elements and results.
Ensuring frequent and timely communication of daily, weekly and monthly reporting results to the appropriate stakeholder and senior manager as per an agreed protocol.
Providing technical expertise to direct reports, departments, internal partners including assessing training needs and providing training for the growing department.
Although this position is for a Treasury Specialist, other areas of the Independent Debt Advisory mandates may require assistance from time to time.
Requirements
Demonstrated technical abilities in Treasury Management and other selected areas (e.g. cashflow and covenant reporting are preferred).
Preferably, but not required, CA(SA) or CFA accreditation.
3+ years of relevant cash flow management and modelling experience. Preferably within a treasury management capacity.
People assignment and management experience.
Good interpersonal skills and customer-centric approach.
Influential and persuasive skills.
Clear and concise report writing skills and effective communication skills
Advanced cashflow modelling and monitoring skills are a must.
Proven advanced experience with MS Office Suite (i.e. Word, Excel, Access, PowerPoint, TEAMS, Visio, Project).
