    Technical Account Manager

    Technical Account Manager 

    HMD woud now like to hire a talented Techncial Account Manager to join our brilliant team in South Africa. This is a key customer facing role which will focus on overall accountability for value selling, high quality and on-time sales start of products.

    Responsibilities:

    • Be the focal point of local customer requirements (consumer, operator, regulator etc.)
    • Ensuring competitiveness in the portfolio by monitoring local market and customer activities and communicating needed requirements
    • Co-ordination of technology roadmap sharing and communication of supported technologies with customers
    • Co-ordination of game planning and life cycle activities with the local team
    • Preparation and execution of local product sell-in activities
    • Product sample co-ordination for all the needed activities
    • Project owner for device variant and customization - Main point of contact for customization offer guideline
    • Planning and execution of Technical Product Acceptance testing activities in conjunction with product programs and customers and actively contributing to the Sales Start Readiness process, including the maintenance of product launch planning
    • Developing and maintaining customer (product team) relationships
    • Be a core team member in Local Sales Unit team, contributing to GTM
    • Interfacing with country regulator for mobile phone related subject

    Background:

    • Education - university degree in technical disciplines (M.Sc. or Bachelor).
    • 4-6 years relevant experience in e.g. in Markets Product Management or Product Acceptance Management in customer interface, highly likely to have been gained within the mobile/telco industry
    • Experienced project manager. Able to work to schedules and deliver in timely fashion with high quality
    • Familiar with devices customization area & tools
    • Good understanding of the E2E process from customer ranging to customer approval
    • Project Mgmt, Communication, Negotiation, Team leadership, Problem solving, Execution
