    Account Manager: Qualitative Research

    ROLE MISSION STATEMENT 

    The primary responsibility of an Account Manager is to manage accounts on a day to day basis and effectively contribute to the efficiency of the business unit. They are also responsible for creating meaningful impact on our client’s businesses and as a key interface between Kantar and our clients. The role includes business development, client engagement, consultancy, study design and analysis, driving preparation and delivery of impactful presentations and reports as well as internal responsibilities such as people management and the implementation of broader business initiatives to improve business performance.

    Our insights colleagues are experts in human understanding. With expertise covering brand, innovation, creative, media, commerce and customer experience, they help clients define what brands should stand for, how to disrupt and renew their offer, how to connect with audiences and how to win with consumers and customers.

     

    KEY OUTCOMES

    • Apply advanced level of knowledge and understanding of your clients and their business in all interactions with clients, and deliverables and analysis conducted for them.
    • Designs appropriate research solutions to drive meaningful insight for clients’ needs and their business.
    • Responsible for accurate analyses, data checks and writing reports and presentations to ensure deliverables meet client/seniors needs and generate strong insight and impact for client’s business – balancing own analysis and creation of deliverables with delegating within the team.
    • Accountable for the accurate and timely delivery of account outputs including delivering and facilitating impactful client presentations and workshops
    • Translate insights into engaging stories with clear and concise implications that will help clients make better marketing decisions.
    • Maximize individual and team performance and efficiency through effective people management.
    • Builds strong relationships and delivers to account responsibilities sufficiently to attract new clients, retain clients and maintain existing business.

    CAPABILITIES

    • Relevant degree in Commerce/ Business Science/ Marketing/ Advertising/ Brand Management.
    • A minimum of 5-year experience in market research and/or a marketing role.
    • Experienced analytical and problem-solving abilities.
    • Experienced ability to consolidate large volumes of qualitative data into strategic insights.
    • Experienced knowledge within/ around the brand, commerce, creative, customer experience, innovation and/or media domains.
    • Experienced ability to maximize impact through effective delivery (Presentation, Workshops, Reports).
    • Experienced ability to design qualitative research studies that meet client needs.
    • Experienced ability across qualitative fieldwork techniques (e.g. Focus groups, In-depth interviews, Online methodologies) and basic ability to act as mentor and source of technical advice to team.
