    Acounting Manager - Reporting

    Ensuring effective implementation and management of accounting controls within the Finance department

    Ensuring accurate and timeous reporting to Head Office

    Job Content Includes:

    Accounting and Controls

    • Maintain Financial Accounting Systems integrity and confidentiality of data
    • Ensures Internal Financial policies and procedures are implemented and adhered to by Aspen employees
    • Ensures all Financial information published to Financial Manager for review is valid, accurate and complete through regular checks and balances
    • Prepare management accounting packs, year - end packs per head office requirements for review by the Financial Manager for PE & Outsource:
    • Monthly management packs
    • Quarterly forecast packs
    • Half year packs
    • Year-end packs
    • Budget packs
    • Prepare monthly Exco report for review and comments from Senior Executive:Finance and Head of Operations
    • Review of balance sheet accounts monthly for accuracy versus ledger. Ensure any risk/concern items are highlighted and resolved timeously
    • Assist internal and external auditors (PWC, Deloitte & Group Internal Risk) during various audits with the necessary information required.
    • Complete the annual computation for current tax asset/liability and deferred tax in accordance with Income Tax Act for SA OPS(PE,EL,NUTS & 3rd Party) for review by Head Office
    • Manage & ensure SA OPS maximizes all Incentives available through:
    • Cash Incentives – MCEP,EIP,ECDC & Municipal Rebates
    • Tax Incentives – Section 12I
    • Review of Intellectual Property ensuring treatment in accordance with IFRS standards
    • Review and sign off of EFT’s and any other payments required in terms of corporate delegation of responsibilities

    ?Requirements

    • Com Honours and completed articles, or equivalent
    • CA(SA) an advantage
    • At least 3 years working experience in a manufacturing environment
    • At least 2 years’ experience in the supervision of staff
    • Prior experience in the interpretation and application of Accounting Standards(IFRS) and the Companies Act
    • Prior experience in Corporate Tax computation
    • Computer literate – proficiency in excel, word, powerpoint, and a fully integrated computer system e.g. Baan, SAP, etc
