    After Hours Support Specialist

    The responsibilities of the position include:

    Daily Checklist

    Morning Operations

    • Check and resolve outstanding failures/issues from previous day's Batch/Schedule Processing
    • Check all network connectivity on Interchanges
    • Check if Visa and Mastercard downloads were successful
    • Check if there are rejections from Mastercard
    • Check delivery of reports to External entities and Local Banks
    • Check delivery of reports to Internal departments
    • Check delivery of extracts
    • Run Daily Stats Reports
    • Check queues on all sink nodes for stuck advices. Problems must be reported. If trans aborted, keep a record of tran numbers

    Handover to After-Hours Support

    • Inform AH Support of changes that are taking place for the next 24 hours or weekend
    • Inform AH Support of issues that are not resolved

    Weekly Checklist

    Monday

    • Check Weekend Normalisation
    • Check Database Backups
    • Check Weekend Visa and Mastercard downloads
    • Check Weekend Report and Extracts
    • Run Terminal Access Fee and Profile validation scripts

    Tuesday

    • Change controls to be logged before CAB Meeting

    Friday

    • Change controls to be logged before CAB Meeting
    • Check change controls for weekend impacts (External and Internal)

    Monthly Checklist

    First Week

    • PASA Bin list updates and maintenance
    • Access Fee update and maintenance
    • Create Uptime Stats Monthly Report
    • Create Access Fee Monthly Report

    In order to be considered for the position, the following Technical requirements must be met:

    • Working hourse will be Monday to Sunday 18h00 to 06h00 as per roster

    Technical Skills Required:

    Database administration

    • Basic T-SQL Query skills
    • Basic SSMS skills
    • Know how and where to check SQL Jobs and rerun

    Application Support

    • A+, N+ certification
    • Knows how to access Event Viewer
    • Troubleshooting skills
    • Check daily Cash Monitor jobs
    • Basic T-SQL Skills for troubleshooting skills.

    Network Support

    • Ability to monitor Solarwinds dashboard
    • Understand alerts

    Server support

    • Monitor SCOM dashboard
    • Monitor Veeam dashboard
    • Basic OS troubleshooting skills
    • Restart OS through VMWare if necessary
