JOB SUMMARY:
INVITATION TO SERVE ON THE AUDIT & RISK COMMITTEE OF THE STATE INFORMATION TECHNOLOGY AGENCY IN TERMS OF SECTIONS 76 (4) AND 77 OF THE PUBLIC FINANCE MANAGEMENT ACT (PFMA) READ WITH CHAPTER 3 OF THE TREASURY REGULATIONS
The Board of Directors of the State Information Technology Agency (SITA) invites applications from interested and suitably qualified persons to serve as members of the Audit and Risk Committee. The committee shall consist of three (3) independent members, one of whom shall be appointed as the Chairperson of the Committee, and shall be appointed for a period of three (3) years.
A relevant post-graduate or equivalent qualification with a minimum of eight years’ experience in any of the following fields: Auditing, Financial Management [CA will be an advantage], Risk Management, Information Technology, Legal, Project Management. The candidate should be a registered and member in good standing of a professional body, with experience of serving on an Audit and Risk committee.
The applicants must be people with a high degree of integrity, honesty, transparency, ethical leadership, professional competence and due care, confidentiality, accountability and must understand the public sector governance and legislative requirements. The following proven skills, knowledge, qualifications and experience in the ICT sector will be an added advantage: Internet of Things (IoTs), Digital Transformation Trends, CyberSecurity, Big Data, Intellectual Property and Commercialisation.
Preference will be given to candidates whose appointment enhance diversity of skills and gender representivity. Candidates will be subject to security clearance and disclosure of business interests. Correspondence will be limited to short-listed candidates only.
