The Company

43 Air School in Port Alfred have a vacancy for an enthusiastic and experienced Automotive Technician to join our team. You will be responsible for the control of work teams, work assignments and work scheduling as well as the quality and rate of work produced. You will be expected to take responsibility for any incidents and to strive for the prevention of reoccurrences. In addition, you will assist the accountable manager with the implementation of various maintenance tasks relating to all vehicles and equipment as well as the training and guiding of our apprentices. Typical duties will include identification of vehicle faults, repair procedures, basic auto care such as oil changes, fluid level checks, replacing of brake pads, wheel bearings, sensors, etc. as well as excellent customer service. The successful candidate must be passionate about aviation and be very hands-on in all aspects of our exciting work.

Required Experience

• A Grade 12 / N3 certificate with English, Mathematics / Maths Literacy as subjects.
• A relevant trade test certificate or a minimum of five years petrol and diesel experience.

Required Language

• English
• The ability to communicate in another official language as well will be an advantage.
