We are now offering an exciting opportunity for aspiring AWS professionals across Middle East & Africa. We are now expanding our Cloud Team, which is based in our Johannesburg office in South Africa. The team is in constant dialogue and exchanges best practice continuously, in order to identify Cloud key drivers at our customers to ensure further growth.

As a AWS Cloud Solution Architect, your key responsibilities will be:

• Design and present customer and partner-specific solutions, as well as standard services made available from globally distributed delivery teams
• Pre-sales support for sales teams including positioning of Cloud Solutions, pre-sales qualification and opportunity identification
• Act as the trusted advisor for our partners and customers regarding multi-cloud solutions architecture and delivery, with a focus on AWS
• Lead and QA project delivery and cloud assessments ensuring that customer satisfaction and communication is maintained, and project milestones are met
• Assess and develop cloud economics and migration plans tailored to customer requirements
• Accelerate our business and market share, by demonstrating Crayon’s technical expertise
• Liaison with strategic partners internally and externally

We find that you will have success in this role if you have a proven record from IT consultancy and AWS-focused technical consulting. It is envisaged that you will have a deep understanding of IT, multi-cloud/hybrid environments and migration tools. Understanding how this relates to Software Asset Management and the licensing lifecycle will be beneficial. We believe that you have an eagerness to constantly learn more and develop professionally, in addition to being an effective communicator with high collaboration skills.

Wanted Competency & Experience:

• 5+ years of IT experience in consultancy or inhouse role
• Experience from Cloud Assessment & Deployment, as well as end-to-end delivery of cloud-based solutions
• Understanding of IT Operations, hybrid or full cloud, with a focus on AWS
• Working knowledge of cloud solutions trending with commercial customers
• Experience from developing migration plans, statements of work and/or project deliverables, and knowledge of multiple migration tools  
• Experience from AWS pre-sales would be advantageous but not essential
• Enterprise environment experience highly preferred
