    Biostatisticians

    The Early Development Services (EDS) division of PRA is a global leader in providing early-phase clinical research and bio-analytical services to the pharmaceutical and biotechnology industries. With a reputation built on excellence, quality and professionalism, we work with leading pharmaceutical and biotechnology companies, performing clinical research and bio-analytical trials on many of the most advanced experimental drugs and biological in development today. Employees of EDS are enthusiastic and dedicated and work in a dynamic informal organization. Patient Pharmacology Services is a group within EDS focusing on early-phase clinical trials in patient populations.

    We are now looking to expand our Biostatistics presence in South Africa and we are looking for an experienced Biostatistician.
    Using a supportive and engaged management style, we want our employees to succeed and ensure they are set up for this success through continued training, development and support.  
    Main responsibilities for the Biostatistician role include: -

    • Working on programs of studies, submissions or on individual studies, providing oversight and expertise to ensure statistical integrity within clinical trials - Writing SAPs (Statistical Analysis Plans) SAS programming of TFLs - Contributing to the creation of the CSR's - Serving as a technical expert, including presenting at scientific conferences.

    The role can be remotely-based anywhere in South Africa. To be successful in this position you will have: -

    • MSc in Medical Statistics or Biostatistics or a relevant mathematical discipline - Some statistical experience working within a CRO and or the pharmaceutical industry 
    • Excellent communication skills and experience of successful sponsor interactions in leading projects or programs of studies, business development and consultancy with sponsors
