    Business Development Manager - Direct Channels

    With almost R300 billion in assets and operating in South Africa, London and Isle of Man, Nedgroup Investments has firmly established itself as one of South Africa’s leading asset management businesses.

     

    The team has recently set up a direct retail investor business to complement its existing intermediary channels and diversify its business model which include corporate cash solutions and institutional sales. The intention is to grow this new business model over the next five years and requires an energetic, hardworking and visionary person to lead its tactical initiatives and support the business strategy.

    Think of this as a 2iC role with the opportunity to grow and play a leading role in building the business in gross sales, new clients and leveraging digital innovation.

    As a successful candidate, you will be responsible for the delivery on the growth plans for the direct retail investor channel through sales and new client acquisition. Use your relationship management and networking abilities to Identify and leverage Nedbank Group's scale and distribution opportunities. These, coupled with your strategic acumen will ensure you are able to propose new business opportunities and expand the current distribution channel by identifying opportunities through market and competitor analysis. Working closely with the servicing team, you will attract new clients to Nedgroup Investments and be an active part of building this future segment.

    • Take the opportunity to work closely with marketing and our data team to drive sales via email, performance marketing and digital sales. Learn this new skill as Nedgroup Investments looks to evolve it. Use your inherent sales skills to identify small and medium sized companies to present to their staff. Provide regular monthly sales reports to show the progress of your work.
    • Ideally, you will be willing to make a significant contribution to culture conducive to a commercial mindset, innovation and agile.
    • An ideal candidate will possess a BBusSci or BCom degree with a post graduate qualification. A CFP is advantageous.
