Buyer E-Commerce at JD Group

Job Purpose

To maintain the correct levels of appropriate stock in a certain category by buying and negotiating with Vendors.  

Education and Experience

• Grade 12
• Relevant tertiary qualification advantageous
• Technology, Buying experience is necessary
• Experience with online marketing processes
• 5 years buying experience within the retail sector
• Merchandise experience within FMCG buying beneficial
• Supply chain knowledge
• Working knowledge of retail buying systems beneficial
• 3 year’s experience managing a stock-file to budget and required levels
• Account/brand management experience advantageous
• Experience dealing with international brands
• Computer Literacy in MS Office and Intermediate Excel.
• SAP

• Macro and Micro Marketing Initiatives - providing inputs with regards to competitor and supplier analysis. Providing trend information for both local and international trends
