    Chief Financial Officer

    The responsibility of the Chief Financial Officer will be to support the CEO: African Region , Southern & East Africa in the formulation and execution of strategy as well as to take accountability for the division's financial health by planning, analysing, advising and reporting on financial strengths and weaknesses to improve financial performance, alignment to financial governance and the division's risk profile.

    • Key performance areas
    • Play a key role in strategy, analysis and forecasting;
    • Ensure accurate, complete and timely reporting to all stakeholders;
    • Implement and monitoring of the company’s strategic business plan;
    • Manage corporate actions such as acquisitions and due diligence process;
    • Maintain sound corporate governance within the organisation;
    • Develop, implement and ensure compliance with the Group’s financial processes, policies and disciplines;
    • Continuous improvement of internal financial and operational processes;
    • Ensure compliance with relevant legal and statutory requirements;
    • Assist the CEO with managing the company’s business risks;
    • Managing forex and related risk;
    • Managing working capital and funding requirements in the territories;
    • Advising operating companies on insurance and risk matters; and
    • Strong team leadership and people management skills
    • Support and empower people that design and implement change within multiple value chain functions.
    • Manage talent and succession.

    Qualifications required

    • CA (SA) with minimum of 12 years’ post articles experience.
    • Experience of working in African territories will be an advantage.
