The Complex Manager takes responsibility for the overall day to day management of a residential complex of over 500 residential units. Areas of responsibility include tenant management, service provider management, building services management including all aspects of Health & Safety, and systematic reporting. The Complex Manager also engages with other key stakeholders to ensure the smooth running of the complex.
The ideal personality?
You must be able to get things done, when they need to be done, you must be savvy and experienced enough to know which parts of your job need to be prioritised. As the successful incumbent, you will balance a breadth of experience and knowledge with an ability to manage a substantial complex, while at all times maintaining a high-level of customer service. You will be innovative and informed on legislation, rules and regulations, local rental rates and other emerging trends related to real estate.
The fine-print
You must have an appropriate tertiary qualification in Real Estate, Property Management or Finance. A qualification in Facilities Management will be advantageous. We require a minimum of 3 years’ experience in Property Management and Facilities management.Knowledge and understanding of the legal framework governing property law in South Africa, the Occupational Health and Safety Act, knowledge of lease agreements, working knowledge of contract management and sound understanding of residential management. Working knowledge of budgeting, debtors and financial statements are essential.
The role requires the Complex Manager to be based on site.
