Crane Operator at Veritas Engineering and Project Management Consultants

Daily Tasks:

• Drives crane to work site and properly sets up per the manufacturer’s operators manual and company rules regarding cribbing/matting. cribbing blocks or mats as required to perform job requirements of customer
• Inspect machines and equipment daily, perform routine maintenance procedures and minor repairs as required and initiate additional repair requests from mechanics when necessary
• Control cranes, lifts and other equipment using standard operating procedures to ensure effective transportation of materials and safety for all personnel on site
• Create and update detailed log of material transportation operations, including information about type of material, movement locations and additional data requested by project manager
• Take complete charge of all safety pertaining to driving and operation of crane
• Operating all plant and equipment in accordance with relevant legislation and company policy
• Securing loads for transportation
• Off loading loads at various destinations
• Loading and unloading of components with crane
• Any other duties as assigned

Minimum requirements:

• Valid Code EC (14) Drivers License with PDP
• Valid Crane Operator Qualification / Licence
• 4 – 10 years’ previous experience working as a crane operator and truck driver
• Experience / Qualifications in Electrical Installations - advantage
