Engineer at Mott MacDonald

Key responsibilities:

• Ability to deliver projects as allocated by Sector Lead & Highways Lead with minimal supervision
• Be familiar with various design methods including hand calculations and computer modelling using relevant software.
• Ensure that all work produced complies with company, national, industry and project quality requirements, understanding at least the principals of Quality Assurance and Health & Safety best practice
• Ability to check and review own work & work of others.
• Ability to write technical reports.
• Give presentations to clients.

Management and Administration:

• Monitor progress against programme of self & team
• Support sector lead with various projects within the Highways Subsector ensuring timely and profitable delivery of works, quality of deliverables, and budgetary control
• Maintain good working relationship with other team members & subordinates

Who you are:

• Qualified graduate in BSc Eng , PrEng
• Should have 5 to 10yrs preferred SANRAL project experience
• Willingness to develop skills & expertise of team members
• Embrace the learning and development facilities within Mott MacDonald to ensure professional development of self
• Ability to deliver projects with minimal supervision
• Knowledge of relevant standards
• Be keen to work in a multi-disciplinary team
• Be willing to travel within Southern Africa and possibly further afield
• Be willing to manage broader than Highways
