    Finance Intern

    A: JOB INFORMATION SUMMARY

    Job title: (Finance) Graduate/Intern

    Position Type: 12 months internship contract

    Location: Centurion, Pretoria

    Post reports to: Financial Accountant

    B: FIELD OF STUDY:

    This exciting opportunity to join the Public Sector Accountancy and Audit Academy (PSAAA) as a graduate intern will be in the field of Finance. The PSAAA is a subsidiary of the Southern African Institute of Government Auditors (SAIGA) and a finance intern will be learning on the job under the mentorship of a financial accountant.  

    C: KEY PERFORMANCE AREAS:

    • Administration and coordination of the Finance function. 
    • Assist in Managing the Debtors and Creditors of the training academy.
    • Assist on the processing of the training academy payments.
    • Perform ad hoc tasks related to the finance function of the training academy.

    D: APPOINTMENT REQUIREMENTS

    The following requirements are applicable

    • Matric/ grade 12 or equivalent.
    • Diploma, degree or equivalent Finance related qualification.
    • Knowledge of MS Office package.
    • High proficiency in Excel will be advantageous.
    • Knowledge of SAGE evolution.

    E: SPECIFIC SKILLS & PERSONAL ATTRIBUTES

    • Communication skills (verbal and written).
    • Ability to work under pressure.
    • Ability to use technology effectively.
    • Good problem solving and analytical competencies.
    • Results driven.
    • High Appetite for growth and development.
